RK : First of all, thanks a lot for accepting our invitation for an interview. Please say something about you. About your career as a fashion model. How did you get started?
Skyler : My name is Skyler Faye Springstun. I started modeling right after high school. I started because I had always had people ask me if I was a model or they would tell me that I should be one so to get started and to practice, I had my boyfriend at the time take photos of me and I posted them on Instagram then I started getting noticed and contacted my photographers and it all exploded from there.
RK : What was your first big break in the industry ?
Skyler : My first big break was modeling for a brand called Alphalete Athletics. I hadn’t had much modeling experience when I was hired by them so I was super excited when I got chose to be their model because they are a well known fitness brand. They helped me grow a lot and I still model for them to this day!
RK : What do you enjoy most in modeling?
Skyler : The thing I enjoy most about modeling is how I feel so free and confident during a photo shoot! I get travel sometimes for photo shoots and I always get to meet new people!
RK : What has been your favorite shoot / campaign / work to date?
Skyler : My favorite campaign that I’ve done so far was the first campaign for Good American by Khloe Kardashian. I was picked out of thousands of girls who auditioned and it took me on my first trip to LA (where I moved to a couple months after) so it is a special campaign that I was a part of and I’ll always remember it.
RK : How would you describe your personal style, Where do you pull your inspiration from?
Skyler : I would describe my style as classy-sexy, confident, and fit. I pull a lot of my inspiration from Victoria’s Secret models and different magazines.
RK : Sometimes the modeling industry gets a bad rap with the jealousy and egos encountered between other models and agencies. Was this true for you? Have you managed to tough it out and make good friends?

RK : What’s your beauty regime? Would you like to share some of your best beauty secrets?
Skyler : My best beauty secret is to always exfoliate, moisturize and drink water!!
RK : How do you stay in Shape?
Skyler : I attribute my staying in shape to being a vegetarian for 9 years and eating healthy and lifting weights at the gym!
RK : Do you have a skin care routine?
Skyler : My skin care routine is to always take off my makeup, use face wash, use toner, and moisturize. I also use a face mask once a week.
RK : Do you have any Beauty/Skin Care tips or Tricks to look fresh and rested for early morning Photo shoot?
Skyler : To look fresh and rested for a morning photo shoot I like to set an alarm early enough for my body to wake up so that I don’t have to rush around. If you wake up with just enough time to head out to a shoot then your face will show your stress and you will have bags under your eyes. Just get enough sleep and have a cup of coffee!!
RK : What skills according to you are necessary to be a successful model ?
Skyler : To be a successful model there are a bunch of skills that are necessary. I’ll list some of the first things that come to my mind; be hard headed(to not let the industry get to you), have good time management, have a positive attitude, confidence, good communication skills.
RK : What are the 5 Things you want to tell newbies before he/she become a model.
Skyler : For the ones who are looking to become a model or just starting out, always remember that you’re not going to get casted for every gig you want, every gig you get is not going to be your favorite, sometimes for shoots they are going to make you look a way that you might not necessarily like (like the way they do your hair or makeup or the way they dress you). Practice in front of your mirror! Learn your angles! Look through magazines to learn new poses. It’s okay to book free shoots when you are starting out! You need to practice. If you ever feel tense during a photo shoot just think of things that make you happy and pretend the camera is just yourself taking selfies.
RK : If you could have one Superpower, what would you choose?
Skyler : If I could have one super power it would be to teleport because I would love to be able to see the world!
