Esteemed wildlife photographer Sudhir Shivaram has been honored as the 'Iconic International Photographer' and Guest Exhibitor for the 'AURA 2024 - International Photography & Art Exhibition'. Retro Kolkata Magazine is orchestrating this grand event, set to transform Nazrul Tirtha, Newtown, Kolkata into an epicenter of art and photography from January 13 to January 21, 2024.

Sudhir Shivaram, an engineer-turned-photographer, is a venerated name in wildlife photography, known as much for his striking images as for his educational initiatives. Shivaram's journey is a testament to following one's passion, transitioning from a successful IT career to becoming an influential photography teacher and a green evangelist. His dedication to wildlife and conservation is reflected in his evocative photographs, which have garnered international acclaim.

Shivaram's affiliation with Canon as a brand ambassador and his recognition as the Sanctuary Asia Wildlife Photographer of the Year in 2012 are just a few highlights of his illustrious career. His commitment to wildlife protection has not only taken shape through his camera lens but also through his role as a founding member of India Nature Watch, a non-profit photo sharing platform.

A notable milestone in Shivaram's career was when a photograph of his featured on the cover of National Geographic Traveler India, winning the prestigious Yellow Border Award for the best cover across multiple language editions at the 2014 Worldwide Editorial Awards in Washington D.C. This accolade is one among many, as Shivaram's influence extends through his online video-based photography courses, engaging social media interactions, and wildlife photography tours across India and Africa.

As a Sony Alpha Community Artisan since August 2019, Sudhir Shivaram continues to lead and inspire within the photographic community. His awards from Sanctuary Asia and National Geographic, along with being a consistent feature in Asian Photography Magazine’s Top Ten Most Influential People, underscore his status as a leading figure in wildlife photography.
