In a thrilling announcement, Retro Kolkata Magazine revealed that the esteemed artist Rintu Roy Chowdhury has been selected to showcase his exceptional talent at the upcoming International Painting and Photography Exhibition. The exhibition, organized by Retro Kolkata Magazine, will be held from June 16 to June 18 at Arts Acre in Newtown, Kolkata.
Rintu Roy Chowdhury, a self-taught artist hailing from West Bengal, India, has captivated art enthusiasts with his unique style and artistic vision. His passion for art led him to complete a diploma course in fine arts from Suro Bharati Sangeet Kala Kendra and Bangiya Sangeet Parishad. Seeking to enhance his knowledge and appreciation of art, Rintu pursued an art appreciation course from Charukala Parishad, Academy of Fine Arts.
Throughout his artistic journey, Rintu has showcased his works in various prestigious venues, including the Academy of Fine Arts, Gaganendra Art Gallery, Gallery Gold, Aakar, Venkattappa Art Gallery in Karnataka, and RKG Art Gallery in New Delhi. He has also actively participated in numerous art workshops and art camps held at EJ Culture, Magma House, Doon Valley Public School, and Tata Marathon.
Rintu's artworks have gained recognition not only within India but also on an international level. His paintings have found their way to different countries, including Iran, Bangladesh (where he was honored as the best performer at an exhibition held on the behalf of the 75th birthday of the current Prime Minister, Sheikh Haseena), and Indian Metro Bhawan. Moreover, his talent has been acknowledged by the Government of West Bengal.
In addition to his remarkable artistic skills, Rintu has also made significant contributions as a cover designer and illustrator for Ekush Satak magazine. His talents as an art director were recognized when a short film he worked on was awarded in Los Angeles, Mexico.
