Retro Kolkata : How important is photography to you? How did you start photography?

As a students and as a person who go through a lot photography is such an escape for me with a world of mine that i make my own.

Risha : Every moment of my life whether it be happy and tough times all memories are capture in just one picture and everything can be remember.

A single picture can bring out a whole lot of unsaid words and feelings which can be hold on to forever.

So, Photography is such an important tool for me as it has helped me in lot kind of ways mentally, which has made me stronger and i will forever hold on to it as it means a lot to me.

Retro Kolkata : What motivates and inspires you as a photographer?

Risha : My source of motivation mainly comes from my friends and my sister as she encourages me to do better in what i do, which have brought me to this point.

Retro Kolkata : Which genre of photography do you like and What inspires you? Which masters of photography have inspired you in your photographic work?

Risha : I would say i capture most of macro, nature and street photography which is mostly related to the nature as mentioned earlier that is where most of my inspiration comes from.

Macro photography captured by a photographer named @Nalinder Mahato are a masterpiece, he is such an inspiration to me and also photographers like @Varun Aditya and @Aarzoo khurana and @Lope Romin a brother of mine are such a main source of inspiration for me.

Retro Kolkata : What type of camera, lenses and lighting equipment do you use?

Risha :As a student i am not being able to give all the time that i have in photography and also cannot afford any expensive equipments so i use Normal mobile camera from that macro lens , wide angle, night mode potrait, other than that i don't use any other lens .

I don't use any lighting equipment, i make use of what is provided in mobile camera and bring my photography into real.

Retro Kolkata : What subjects inspire you and prompt you to look for the shot?

Risha :As i have mentioned earlier about Nature and Macro lens, when i see or come across things in nature, it could be a beautiful sunset or birds in the skies or could be a happy moments with my beloved ones or could be a small creature that i see. So to me it can come from a lot of different ways.

Retro Kolkata : Do you prefer black and white shots or colour?

Risha :I prefer both black and white and colored but the works that i have done so far are mostly coloured as it has it own stories behind it. So even though i make my pictures into colored or black and white i look for the meaning behind it and anything can be beautiful in its own way.

Retro Kolkata : What is the best project you have worked on and how did you get involved with it?

Risha :As a paramedical student my schedules get tight at times so i hardly make time for capturing what i love, so i still haven't indulged in anything like a competition or so but that doesn't make me any less since my passion for it is very strong.

Risha :Quality in my pictures i would say i look for the perfect moment, feeling and inspiration. It helps me to be creative to which I get the best results.
