Pia Trivedi : I was quite a dreamer, still am. I wanted to be a fighter jet pilot , then an interior designer . I remember at some point I wanted to be a doctor as well. And then I finally settled into wanting to be a runway model! I loved the outdoors and still do. Nature is my go to . Painting , photography, a whole lot of creative stuff ... academics wasn’t my favorite at all. (LOL)

Pia Trivedi : It was the kingfisher swimsuit calendar.

RK : What has been your favorite shoot / campaign / work to date?

Pia Trivedi : There have been many. But because the kingfisher calendar was my stepping stone into the industry it holds a very special place in my life.

RK : What do you enjoy most in modeling?

Pia Trivedi : I love the runway. It’s super fun! But I also love television. When I joined channel V as a VJ it opened a whole new world of possibilities for me .

Pia Trivedi : Actually I’ve managed to make great friend.A lot of girls help each other. RK : What’s your beauty regime? Would you like to share some of your best beauty secrets?

Pia Trivedi : Less is more. I’ve strongly believed in it. Use sunscreen everyday and always remove your makeup before you hit the sack!

RK : You have made your Bollywood debut in the film ‘Hum Tum Shabana’. Tell us about your first break in Bollywood and how it all happened.

Pia Trivedi : It happened quite by chance. I wasn’t looking at Bollywood , but I met the director & the role was very close to my real life (that of a model) I guess that made me feel comfortable to do it! Before this I had done a couple of item songs in movies as well.

RK : What have been the greatest challenges you’ve faced in your career so far and as per your opinion, what are the main challenges in fashion industry today?

Pia Trivedi : The greatest challenge for me was always to stay fit. Be on top of my game at all times. That has been really tough, specially also because I love food & I have a tendency to put on weight !

The main challenge of the Indian fashion industry these days is that there are no super models left. It’s quite sad.
