Retro Kolkata : First of all, Congratulations to be the Rising Fashion & Lifestyle Blogger of Retro Kolkata Magazine. Please say something about you. About your career as a Fashion & Lifestyle Blogger. How did you get started?
Anuska: Hello everyone, I'm Anuska Samanta. I'm a student and beside pursuing studies, I create fashion and beauty content on Instagram. I have 15.8k followers on Instagram. I have collaborated with a variety of brands from Lakme, Ponds to fashion brands such as Myntra.
Retro Kolkata : You have an exceptionally unique look. Where does your style savvy come from, and where do you get your inspiration?
Anuska: Well, it all started during the Lockdown in 2020. Styling outfits and a sense of fashion was something I always had in me and that's why I thought why not put it up on social media and that's how my journey began. From clicking pictures using my mobile to collaborating with different photographers and brands it has been a wonderful experience and I'm looking forward to grow more in this field.
I have got inspirations from many but I always try to recreate it on my own. Also, I keep in mind how I can reflect my personality and characterisation through my fashion.

My fashion icon is Deepika Padukone. I absolutely love the way she carries herself. Her style statement, her dress sense is just magnificent.
Retro Kolkata : What has been your best fashion purchase ever?
Anuska: Buying basic cami tops and denims are always my best purchases ever because I can style it in different ways and can make a whole new outfit of it.
Retro Kolkata : If you had to name one thing, what would be your favourite thing in your wardrobe right now?
Anuska: A Basic Cotton Kurti is my favourite. Besides western wear, I love to wear Indian Traditional Clothes as well. It gives an amazing vibe and comfort to pair up with my confidence.
Retro Kolkata : What are your three favourite trends at the moment?
Anuska: My favourite fashion trends at the moment are- Street Style Fashion, Monochrome Matrix & Colour Blocking.

These are just enough for me to get a nice glamorous look when I'm in a rush.

Anuska: a) I put on my earphones and dance for hours in my room alone
b) I hate Horror Movies
c) I like Maggie with Ketchup
d) I talk to myself every time I feel low and that helps me get out of that zone really well cause I believe I'm my own best friend and no one can understand me the way I will.
e) I can be weirdly crazy when I'm in my comfort zone.
Retro Kolkata : We (Retro Kolkata) are trying to build one single stage for all the artists, because we believe that artists are the most beautiful creation of God and geographical boundaries can never break their unity and harmony. Please say something about our initiative and any special message for your followers.
Anuska: Earlier, initiatives like this inspired and introduced some bloggers like me. We are coming up with new style and fashion statements which are not only covering up a single country or region but mixing and matching the statements and arts across the sea. Similarly, it can help the next generation who think to start as a blogger and should freely able to add something new to ours as well.
